My personal musings about anything that gets on my radar screen--heavily dominated by politics.

This Cracks Me Up

There are a few rules, it would seem, of high-profile activities for candidates. One of which would have to be keep it simple, stupid!

So John Kerry wanders into a ballgame last night and throws the first pitch into the dirt. You know, sure--60feet 6 inches is a daunting distance. But for someone who spends every photo-op throwing a football on the tarmac, you would think he would understand that you DON'T LEAVE THAT PITCH SHORT. Keep it simple--no curveballs (gravity curves, that is). At least get the damn thing to the plate!

Contrast that to the pitch W threw at Yankee Stadium a week after 9/11. Ask yourself: who responds to pressure?
